Our Council Home
Welcome to the Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph Catholic Church Marietta, Georgia
Who We Are
We are a group of Catholic men who share a desire to be better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors, and role models, and to put charity and community first.
We come from many places, backgrounds, and stages in our lives, but we are all of one faith.
Our council home, pictured above, was built and is maintained by council members. We are a part of St. Joseph Catholic Church located in Marietta, Georgia.
Charity
Charity is at the heart of our work and our faith - and it always has been. For the Knights of Columbus, charity means supporting a virtually boundless variety of projects.
Faith
Our commitment to charitable service is just one of the many ways that we express our Catholic faith. We’re here to build a daily bridge back to what matters, for our members and fellow Catholics.
Fellowship
With 1.9 million members around the world, we have been investing our time, effort, and resources into our values of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism since 1882
The World Needs More Knights
OUR HISTORY AND HERITAGE
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.
Today, Father McGivney is being considered for sainthood
